I have loved baking cakes for as long as I can remember. My earliest memory being the joyous reward of getting to 'lick the bowl clean' after the cake went in the oven! Now, with two little ones who keep me closer to home I thought the timing right to take my passion to other people and start a business doing what I love! Based in my kitchen in the heart of Solihull, 'Cake Made With Love' was born from my absolute love and passion for baking.

Over the years I have made all manner of cakes for friends and family. Birthday cakes, Wedding cakes, cupcakes for parties and numerous chocolate cakes and brownies for the indulgent night in! Having made so many cakes for those closest to me over the years I wanted to share my love of baking with everyone who loves a good cake!

Increasingly known as 'The Cake Lady' I am frequently asked for all manner of celebration cakes. Anything from your traditional 'Happy Birthday' cake to some weird and wonderful novelty / themed cakes. My favourite type of cake to make has to be a wedding cake. I am a hopeless romantic and enjoy nothing more than working with my brides, discussing their day and their ideas to create a cake that is as perfect as the rest of their day.

I take great pride in my work and right from the initial concept through mixing, making, baking and decorating it pleases me immensely to see the pleasure other people get from my cakes - especially when it comes to eating them!

And this is the most important part for me. Whilst I love nothing more than a beautiful cake, to me it is equally important to have one that tastes as good as it looks. I spend many hours in my kitchen trialling recipe variations of to find the best results. Using good quality ingredients is key and everything I make is made fresh to order.
